Phoenix Monarchs Alumni Association
Phoenix Monarchs Alumni Association of Arizona
In 1979 Cloves Campbell got together with Senoma Smith (the coordinator), Irma Leos, Ophelia Joseph, Roberta Robinson, Jewel Brooks, and Opal Ellis to start a reunion for Carver High School. Carver’s first reunion was in 1980 for all classes. They were successful because, in 1982, The Phoenix Monarchs Alumni Association was formed.
The Spirit of Carver High
School Songs
On you Monarchs
On you Monarchs, On you Monarchs, Fight right on to win.
We will help you with the cheering, give you renewed Vim,
Rah, Rah, Rah.
On you Monarchs, On you Monarchs, We are backing you.
Fight, boys, like warriors too, We’re all for you.
(Words by H.F. Edwards, Carver High Music Teacher)
Dear Carver High
We pledge to you pure white and blue
All our love and pride.
With loyal hearts we sing to you
Our own dear Carver High, We love you!
Ever onward, upward, Victoriously shall we strive
To keep ideals of Carver Forever alive.
(Words by H.F. Edwards, Carver High Music Teacher)
